As he appeared on Fox News, Trey Gowdy reported that Congress will not issue permits to key monitoring programs until they get to the bottom of the intelligence “unmasking.”

He made it clear on Fox to Obama that the ex-president is not safe yet and that Gowdy will do whatever it takes to put an end to this scandal.

While talking to Bill Hemmer, Trey informed that he, together with some other lawmakers, are still into the scandal with the revealing of the identities of US citizens, and that they need more information on the procedures.

In one of their latest editorials, Wox News wrote that ex-National Security Adviser Susan Rice asked to reveal the identities of Trump campaign staff members which were spied over in incidental surveillance. Apparently, that was furthermore forwarded to top intelligence and national safety people.

That is a privilege to be able to request that a U.S. person’s name is unmasked. I want to know who’s making the request [and] what is the evidentiary basis of that request? And if it’s late in your tenure – like the day before you leave office – that should send off alarms and sirens in your head as to why that person did it, – stated Gowdy.

He went on and explained how the key elements of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act are not to be rebuilt until they expire or unless the US citizens are happy that their “security is going to be safeguarded.”

When the host asked him if this proves that Obama administration had abused the unmasking processes, Gowdy answered that this issue has to be analyzed more.

Gowdy stated that he still needs answers regarding the latest actions in the Obama administration, but as for now, he is not blaming the ex-president for “spying” on the Trump campaign crew.
